Sailor Moon is awesome. I've watched like 100 plus episodes XD

I've watched all 200!!! Though the last season is really sad. (Only because the show is over.)

But I thought you didn't like animes with magic though GS?

Yeah, some of it is. I just see Sailor Moon more as a super power then magic. I guess when I see the scouts transform it's like seeing Superman opening his shirt and revealing that S symbol, dose that make sense? It's kinda hard to explain XD

Yeah it does...but in the Japanese version, it's called magic. So I really don't know... :/

I agree, May, magic and super powers are pretty much the same thing(they seem a little different but usually gain the same results).

Most animes have some sort of supernatural element...I'm trying to think of one that doesn't XD. But they definitely differ greatly in terms of darkness, etc. Most of the "magic" is more like superpowers like you said and is more lighthearted. Some, like Black Butler, have a lot of darker/more like witchcraft magic elements that make me uncomfortable(most of the episodes I've skipped) XD

But May and Siri know a lot of animes so they can definitely refer you to ones that are more lighthearted like Sailor Moon!

Fulmetal Alchemist(read the first volume and by now watched the first episode) started off as very light but I think it will get darker. It's very engaging and the Elric brothers are hilarious, I can see why it is so popular.

A lot of the first episode centered around the clash between "science"(aka alchemy) and religion. The first manga chapter wasn't so bad, but the anime kinda rubbed it in a bit, with Edward harping on the religion and saying that alchemy was teh onleh true way, etc. At one point, Edward is like "PUT DOWN YO SCRIPTURES AND PICK UP AN ALCHEMY BOOK" and I was like >.>

^^I actually find that kind of hilarious because *alchemy* is known as the fake "science" now.

As for the anime/manga itself, very addicting and funny, I think you'd like it and I'm definitely continuing. XD

Exactly Amar, that is the case with animes. Magic is a key element to most stories. (Mostly because it makes things more interesting.) And really, the "magic" isn't such a bad thing in animes. Usually the main character has magic, and they're good.

How did Black Butler make you uncomfortable? And if you skipped episodes, how did you understand what was going on later?

Yeah! I know plenty of animes, so I might be able to find a few that have little or no magic elements, but you'll miss out on a lot of awesome animes if you do.... :(
Such as one called "Gakuen Alice", which is sooo awesome!. (Look it up and tell me what you would consider it as.) Since it is a really cute anime and I would recommend it to EVERYONE! (I need to get my sister to watch it too. )

Well, with Full Metal Alchemist, we need to remember that the Japanese made it, and that they aren't Christian there, (well, there aren't many Christians) so they wont be careful of what they put in their animes. Though, if America had wanted to change that when they dubbed it, they would have. So since they didn't, I'm guessing that they had no problem with it. (Not sure why since it is rude, but oh well.) Though I can agree with your reaction Amar. >.>

Lots of cults and zombies and possession and ghosts and making of contracts by dripping blood on random rose petals . They were specific to arcs which i skipped almost entirely. Have you watched the second season yet?

Oh, well that is more gore than anything. XD And I have to admit I don't like that much either.

Yes! I heard a lot about it! Why are they called Alices though? Alice there, Alice in Pandora Hearts, what's up with Alice? XD

I'm pretty accepting of magic and different viewpoints in fiction, because I know it's just fiction so must stuff doesn't bother me, but I have to say Black Butler did kind of bother me a little bit.

Fullmetal Alchemist sounds interesting. The main characters look really cool, I may give it a try.
