Thanks for the compliment May! Almost everything I know how to do was self-taught by searching, finding tutorials and practicing. I took a graphic design class in high school but we only did posters, a business set and a cd cover. The only new thing I learned at that time was how to use Photoshop and how to make a business set. Sometimes it can be kinda hard but I find that it's always rewarding to hit the nail on the head with the design and make the person very happy.

That's amazing!!! That's kinda what I did with drawing. I just researched, practiced, and looked at how others did theirs. Awesome!!

Those are some awesome drawings! They were really good, I'm really impressed! I can't wait to see more of your artwork in the future after you get your scanner fixed. If you still wanted to post your drawings you could try to take a picture of them using your camera. I did this once, I put the drawing on a table and took the picture standing on a chair and just zoomed in as necessary. It sometimes works depending on how the camera picks up the pencil. Always something to try.

But in that time I'll become a better artist. Please post your Tohru picture on here since it technically is fan-art if you drew it!

Hey Girls! So this week I'm taking in idea submissions since I hit 30 people on my Facebook Page. Basically I'm taking in all the ideas and then everyone gets to vote on them and then the most voted idea is the one I'll make. Also I'm seeing if there's interest for a new series I'm thinking of doing. It would be a series about things I learn in college pertaining to graphic design. Anything from techniques I'm loving, to something new that I've learned, or things about graphic design, to posts about work I've done would be in the series. It would also be weekly. So let me know what you think about a series like that if you haven't already.

I also finished my Tohru art piece and a new pop art so I'll be doing posts on that soon and I'll leave the link here when those posts are up!

Today in my Computers in Art class at the community college I got to play around with Adobe Illustrator! <3 I love it so far!

I'm really excited for all I'm going to be learning in this class.

That's awesome Rachel! I haven't yet gotten to play around inside Illustrator but I'm very excited to, as well as learn more about web design using Dreamweaver and Fireworks.

Awesome! What kind of work do you use Dreamweaver and Fireworks for? Are they more geared towards web design?

In my class we're learning Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Dreamweaver and Fireworks are used to make websites and other web design projects. I think they even now use it to make mobile apps too, not too sure though. I know Indesign is a lot like Microsoft Publisher in the sense that it's used to put publications together, which is really fun to do. What version are you using? I had to get one of Adobe's packages for school. I'm excited to learn everything I possibly can. There's a girl on youtube named Karen Kavett. Her videos are all about Graphic Design and she has some books that she recommends too. The one that's the history of Graphic Design I've read and it was really good.
