| I've read the hunger games! I've read the second one. It's a really great series. The movie's going to be great especially with the CGI stuff! | |

| Yay! I agree, I'm so excited for the movie! I was really nervous at first that they will stray too far from the books, but I heard that the author has been very involved in everything, so I think it will turn out good | |

| Yha its going to be great! The only thing I'm worried about is that their going to rate it R because of the "extreme violence." | |

| Part of the audience is young teens, surely they wouldn't rate it R. It does have a lot of violence, but I don't think it has enough to be rated R. And it doesn't have anything sexual, or much cussing.
I hope they don't rate it R. That would make me very angry.

| The first book is pretty cool. I won't say it's fantastic, but it was pretty good. Even though I couldn't fall asleep after reading it.
But what I want to know is have any of you read the third one? If so, I would think a bit about reading it because I have heard again and again that people who loved the first two books and read the third book have been completely turned away from the series by the third book, and that it has more violence and is more disturbing than the first two books combined. One of my blogs I followed said that Mockingjay was "the most disturbing thing she has ever read" and that she couldn't even keep the book in her room afterwards.
Abby said that she regretted reading it and couldn't go to sleep without reading her bible and writing her thoughts down. She also told me never to read it.
This is just a warning! Different people are affected differently by books. As for me, I won't be reading it.

| Chibi loves these books, but she told me not to read them. She said even with my knowledge of war and such (from SW) that I would not like it at all and probably would get scared out of my mind. XD So I pass on these books......XDD | |

| Some of the stuff from SW EU can be pretty sickening, but you just forget about it. SC writes in such a way that i'll probably NEVER forget some of the stuff.. It's not explicitly graphic, just unsettling. | |

| I really like the Hunger Games! The last book though... it's... unsettling, yes. The end is heartbreaking AND unsatisfying. | |

| Well, I think I can handle anything after reading part of the New Jedi Order series (The Vong are HORRIBLE creatures who love to have pain inflicted apon themselves and others, and there's quite a few main characters who are tortured), but I think I'll be avoiding Hunger Games nonetheless. xD

| no, the Vong are more gory, but the Hunger Games is more disturbing. I hate that scene from Star By Star the most, when Alema does that thing to the shaper. | |

| Yeah....that was a little more........... detailed............. then I wished to read, but not very disturbing overall for me anyway. Like I've said, I've never read The Hunger Games, so I'm not sure how they compare. xD

| The third book was really violent, but not to the point of mentally disturbing someone. I really didn't mind the voilence as much as some of the unnecessary character deaths. I think it was stupid that she made some certain characters die, but Suzanne Collins is really good at messing up endings. I know from the Gregor the Overlander series, which I do not reccomend because of the ending. I was depressed for weeks after reading the last book of that series.
Anyways, I think that the Hunger Games is a good overall series, and even though the third book could have been a lot better I still like the series and am looking forward to the movie.

| Did anyone find it a little strange that at the end of EVERY single book, Katniss ends up in a hospital and misses all the action?? | |

| Well she misses the end of the book at any rate...I really don't like that she's unconsious throughout the whole end. And she misses EVERYTHING in the last book because she's - Spoiler:

| Despite all the warnings I've heard about this series, I'm reading it anyway! I'll be kinda disappointed if I don't end up depressed and scared after reading them. I know I'm strange, but I live dangerously......Well, not really, but I do want to read these books. | |

| I think they're really good!!! You'll like them I honestly don't find them as disturbing as people make them out to be. Yeah they were a little violent, but the violence really wasn't all that bad. At any rate, you've at least got to love it for finally replacing the Twilight craze. (No offense to Twilight fans, I'm just getting tired of all the fuss over that series) | |
