I agree, it wasn't THAT disturbing to me... but everyone is different

I agree with you! Everyone is different, and I certainly respect everyone's opinions! I seem to have more tolerence for things other people find disturbing.

I loved the Hunger Games, in fact, I couldn't put it down! It is a little haunting, thats for sure, but over all it's amazing! I recommend it to any one who wants to read it, and is prepared to read it. Definitely don't read it if you are under 10.

That looks so good!!!!!!! I'm really excited!!! Hopefully the movies aren't a total rip off like Percy Jackson, but I think they'll be pretty good.

WELL.........I don't want to read the books. I've heard that they are too violent and too descriptive for my tastes. Plus, I know the majority of the story from Chibi, who has explained them to me. XD But that trailer was beyond epic. I got chills too. It was AMAZING. I'd love to go see it with Chibi........just because it looks so awesome. I'm with you though Ley, I'll read Plugged IN's review first.

I'm giving in to the occasion of asking. What exactly is the Hunger Games? I know it's a very popular book series. Beyond that, I'm lost.

It's a very popular, very well written, quite violent and jarring, book series

Ah, I see. That certainly sheds light on the subject. It seems it would make a good movie though.

It's a very good series of books, too! There is so much intense emotion...so if you like that kind of thing, and you aren't easily disturbed, I highly reccomend it

I agree with Snips!
And even if it isn't as memorable as Harry Potter or Star Wars, it is definitely thought-provoking, and in my opinion, it's worth reading. (As long as you're over 12 )

So my mom was able to borrow THG on her Kindle, and she has been staying up REALLY late so she could finish it. 3 days, and now she's starting on the second. I cant wait for the movie. Mom and I spend a good 15 minutes looking at previews.
Also, the director/producer/or whatever he was said that he didn't need blood and guts to make the movie as compelling as the book.

The book actually didn't have a lot of blood and guts in it, either XD. Together, Peeta and Katniss kill what, three people altogether? And like two of them were accidents XD.
The books are extremely addicting. Once you start, you HAVE to plow through them. XD

Well... I guess not blood and guts, but they do have some pretty disgusting deaths... O.O And they are SO addicting! Once you pick one up, you CAN'T STOP READING!

I'm glad the movies won't be as violent it sounds like. And they are addicting! I read the first book in 1 and 1/2 days!

Gosh, I had to stay up all night to finish Mockingjay. That must have been the strangest book I have ever read

Yeah, I was very upset when some of the people died. I literarily threw the book down and started yelling when... Yeah he died.

In the second one he was, but in the third one you really get to see a different side of him. It makes you like him better.
