| This is a place where we can talk about problems and issues we face in life. This is different from Prayer Requests because here we will try to find practical ways to help and offer advice to each other regarding family issues, school, and whatever else life throws at you! | |

| Awesome idea! Actually, I'm in a bit of a situation right now. We just got to Kauai, and it's really hot, and I don't know what to do. I'd prefer not to wear "booty shorts" the whole time, but that would be the most convenient. What should I do? | |

| Do you have capris? That's a good compromise! Or, you could buy one or two pairs of shorts while you're there. | |

| They make these battery operated fans that are attached to bottles, and you fill the bottle with water and you can spray the water out while you have the fan on to cool off real fast. The fan can go around your neck too, it's really light. That's what I used when I went to Florida a few summers ago. It worked really well! They probably sell them at Wal-mart | |

| I think I saw one at Wal-Mart once...at least a fan by itself or something. Not sure if they carry them now. | |

| It's a movie/book series about vampires and has a reputation for being awful. I am neutral on the subject. | |

| Here's what I found on Wikipedia:
"Twilight is a series of four vampire-themed fantasy romance novels by American author Stephenie Meyer. It charts a period in the life of Isabella "Bella" Swan, a teenage girl who moves to Forks, Washington, and falls in love with a 104-year-old vampire named Edward Cullen. The series is told primarily from Bella's point of view, with the epilogue of Eclipse and Part II of Breaking Dawn being told from the viewpoint of character Jacob Black, a werewolf. The unpublished Midnight Sun is a retelling of the first book, Twilight, from Edward Cullen's point of view. The novella The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, which tells the story of a newborn vampire who appeared in Eclipse, was published on June 5, 2010 as a hardcover book and on June 7 as a free online ebook."

| Yeah... Twilight. It's (from what I've heard) just a romance novel that shouldn't exist. But I dont know, because I have never read it. | |

| I haven't either. That and Harry Potter shouldn't have been written, in my opinion. | |

| Here's the overview of each book from Wiki.: Bella Swan moves from Phoenix, Arizona to live with her father in Forks, Washington to allow her mother to travel with her new husband, a minor league baseball player. After moving to Forks, Bella finds herself involuntarily drawn to a mysterious, handsome boy, Edward Cullen. She eventually learns that he is a member of a vampire family who drinks animal blood rather than human blood. Edward and Bella fall in love, while James, a sadistic vampire from another coven, is drawn to hunt down Bella. Edward and the other Cullens defend Bella. She escapes to Phoenix, Arizona, where she is tricked into confronting James, who tries to kill her. She is seriously wounded, but Edward rescues her and they return to Forks, having killed James.
Edward and his family leave Forks because he believes he is endangering Bella's life. Bella goes into a depression until she develops a strong friendship with Jacob Black, whom she discovers can shape-shift into a wolf. Jacob and the other wolves in his tribe must protect her from Victoria, a vampire seeking to avenge the death of her mate James. Due to a misunderstanding, Edward believes Bella is dead. Edward decides to commit suicide in Volterra, Italy, but is stopped by Bella, who is accompanied by Edward's sister, Alice. They meet with the Volturi, a powerful vampire coven, and are released only on the condition that Bella be turned into a vampire in the near future. Bella and Edward are reunited, and she and the Cullens return to Forks.
Victoria has created an army of "newborn" vampires to battle the Cullen family and murder Bella for revenge. Meanwhile, Bella is compelled to choose between her relationship with Edward and her friendship with Jacob. Edward's vampire family and Jacob's werewolf pack join forces to successfully destroy Victoria and her vampire army. In the end, Bella chooses Edward's love over Jacob's friendship and agrees to marry him.
Bella and Edward are married, but their honeymoon is cut short when Bella discovers that she is pregnant. Her pregnancy progresses rapidly, severely weakening her. She nearly dies giving birth to her and Edward's half-vampire-half-human daughter, Renesmee. Edward injects Bella with his venom to save her life and turns her into a vampire. A vampire from another coven sees Renesmee and mistakes her for an "immortal child". She informs the Volturi, as the existence of such beings violates vampire law. The Cullens gather vampire witnesses who can verify that Renesmee is not an immortal child. After an intense confrontation, the Cullens and their witnesses convince the Volturi that the child poses no danger to vampires or their secret, and they are left in peace by the Volturi.

| That is weird. Yep, not going to read those books.
I do have to argue on your point on Harry Potter (gosh, that is such an unfortunate name). I enjoy those books, but I do see where you are coming from with not liking them.

| At least the movie-making process on those movies are just about done. Then people will rarely talk about it. | |

And I don't think people should criticize books they haven't read.

| The Twilight books/movies have a lot of really weird/creepy stuff in them. Just read the reviews on Plugged In Online. They say the newest one was almost rated R before they cut out a few scenes. o.O
But anyways. XD Moving on... Moving on... Anymore questions? ;P

| Yes, Twilight is really weird and creepy, as well as just boring. I made it through 2 and 1/2 books and finally got sick of it. Luckily I didn't read the 4th book, but I've heard it was very graphic Anyways, I do have a question. Which is better, ipods or mp3s? And which types are good? | |

| I had heard Twilight was bad. Then I heard that my cousin liked the books. Curious to read reviews for myself, I went to Pluggedin. It didn't sound good. But then I read the part about the baby and...I am a sucker for fantasy and babies, so. I guess I should real the whole review. I doubt I would be able to see it at this time anyway. XD Please don't think I'm weird. XD | |

| I've read all four Twilight books a long time ago and personally, I don't at all get all the hype about them. They're basically just a love story that's extremely weird. I think they're like everything else: as long as you keep in mind that they're just for entertainment purposes, they're fine I guess, but nothing particularly special.
The only objection I have with it is that Bella says she is willing to give up her soul to be with Edward. That if she'd with him, she doesn't need heaven. Other than that, it's whatever. As far as graphic goes, I've never seen the movie but the book completely skips the "honeymoon" scene and I was really disappointed in Hollywood to hear that's not the case with the movie. Decent morals though: Edward refuse to be intimate with Bella until they are married.
Anyways... iPod's or MP3's... I think iPod's are better, as they have screens to show you your songs. MP3's are cheaper though. lol I like the old iPod model the best. Generation 3? maybe 4? I dunno. I don't think they make them anymore though. I've been looking on Ebay.

| I'm looking at MP3 players that actually have a screen and you can watch videos on them, I think. Note: it's actually my dad researching for me, so I can't be of much help. I know there's this Black Friday sale that has one like $45 for a 8G...I think. | |
