How did you find Star Wars?

That is a great story!!!! Another person I am grateful they discovered Star Wars!!!!

My dad started watching the attack of the clones when I was 5 or 6. Now I'm hooked! I love the Republic Commando Series! It is awesome! Amaranthine read it. YES, I know Amaranthine IS PERSON!! She is a great friend!

Well, my dad was a boy/teenager when TO were coming out, so he grew up with them. I've always known about Star Wars but I didn't actually watch them till I was like 10. xD

Cool stories everyone! For me, one night my brother and I were arguing over which movie to watch. My dad snatched up Phantom Menace and shoved it in the DVD player and then sat us down to watch it. I had seen part of it and was kind of curious. I loved it. For the next five weeks, every weekend we would watch the next Star Wars movie. Best six weeks of my life! Then, that summer, the Clone Wars came out. I saw it in theaters. I didn't want to watch the show at all but my brother made me, and now I love it more than him.

Well my dad got me started when I wad like 6 so then I liked SW but this past summer when I went to Disney SW weekends and met Ashley E and found put about HERUNIVERSR I was hooked and now I have Annie fever instead of Beiber fever:)

FLASHBACK!!!! I had first heard of Star Wars around 5-6 years ago when we were at a hotel in Conway, Arkansas around Thanksgiving. ATOC was on TV and my dad said, "Ooh! Star Wars! Now is this the one where his mom dies?" It was because I specifically remember watching Anakin kneeling at Shmi's grave. After I saw that, I was like, "Turn it to something else!" At that time, I was terrified if someone even mentioned the word death and I would start crying. Flash forward a little bit! I was turning ten when ROTS came out. I had forgotten all about AOTC at this time so none of it really clicked. I had seen the commercials and saw that it was PG-13 and that it was evil. I proclaimed to my parents that would never watch it even when I turned 13. Well, flash forward, then in the summer when I was 12, my dad rented ANH and said, "Oh! This is a Classic! I think you'd really like it!" So, I watched the OT. I liked it, but I wasn't "hooked". The TCW movie came out. My dad and I saw it and liked it, but it wasn't that great (partly b/c I didn't know Anakin's back story). Then during TCAP week (Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program) when I was in seventh grade, my friend Daniel told me that I should watch the rest of the movies. So, I did and now I love SW! Sorry it took so long, but I thought y'all deserved the whole story.

I really can't remember how I became a fan. I just remember thinking that C-3PO was the main character and he was on Earth. Something weird like that. LOL.

I became a fan a little after Leia became one.

I grew up with Star Wars. My dad was always a casual fan, and when each new movie came out, he would take me and my brothers and sister to see it. I always liked it and it was always a big deal when my dad took us to Blockbuster to rent an OT movie. But i didn't love it until i started reading the Jedi Apprentice series about a year ago. Since then i've been a die-hard fan and Obi-Wan's padawan. Gosh, Star Wars is the greatest, isn't it?

STAR WARS FOREVER!!!!!!!!

My dad was a casual fan and he wanted to have an excuse to go see the prequels when they came out in theatres, so he showed the movies to my sister and I so that we would be fans and want to see the new movies.

I was about three or four at the time (it was several years before the prequels actually came out) and I've loved it ever since! I don't remember much about my reactions to the movies, although I know that when I watched A New Hope we were also studying the planets in my class at school and I ran upstairs to get my little worksheet about the planets because I wanted to figure out what planet the robots had crashed on. I concluded that it was Mars and then my dad said that the movie didn't take place in our solar system.

I also remember watching ESB and pausing the movie and running outside to my dad shouting that Luke had just killed Darth Vader and my dad was all "...what?" and then he told me that wasn't actually Darth Vader.

That's awesome! LOL I thought Luke killed Darth Vader too at first.

As for me, The Clone Wars movie got me into Star Wars. And after the movie, I was so curious to find out about Anakin and Obi-Wan and the others. I was really lucky that my parents own all 6 of the movies which got me hooked to such an awesome galaxy which I'll never ever leave~!!

My mom was a fangirl. She grew up watching the movies and she wanted my brother and I to do the same. We are a fan family!!! Well, except for my dad. He likes Star Wars but he's not a die-hard like the rest of us.

LOL! My family is pretty much a fan family too. My sister and i are both crazy FANatics and my mom was a fangirl too.

Me and my dad are the total nerds! Im the one who talks about it most though! Lol! My sister and mom enjoy it but they aren't like die hard fans!

From my two best friends. They were going to watch the films and were telling us about what they knew from their parents and my sister and I though it sounded really awesome. So later we went and rented episodes IV and V from the local video store and watched them. And we LOVED them!
