How did you find Star Wars?

My mom found the A New Hope VHS in the library and she was like "Ooh, this is a famous movie. Let's watch it!"
I was like "aww, can't we watch a GOOD movie?" (I had no idea what SW was about and wasn't interested.
So I at first didn't watch, but I was bored with what I was doing and went to watch it. I was hooked! Later, I found Young Jedi Knights, and later, The New Jedi Order. Also, I watched the Clone Wars ever since the movie/episode I!

I love Star Wars!

My dad got me started! I cant remember my first SW movie thats how long Ive been a fan! Lol! But Im not over twenty im younger than that but I wont tell my exact age! I watched one of them with my dad and was hooked ever since and Im proud to say Im a SW fan!

I owe it all to my mom. She loved star wars when she was my age. When I first saw star wars, I was 7. New hope was the first, on VHS might I add. I didn't take to it at first, but all in good time. My parents dragged me to the theater to see revenge of the sith, and it's been true love ever since. Went in a hater, came out a head over heels geek. I had almost all the burger king toys, hahaha, good times My mom is a trilogy purist, but I love every bit of star wars. I'm growing up on clone wars though, so I gravitate towards it more.

*Sigh* my SW story is a long one. I'll shorten it for everyone else's sake. I hated SW. Seriously, there was nothing I mocked, laughed at, or hated more. Then for $1.50, I bought my passion on VCR from a thrift store. I watched the OT and halfway through ESB I was in love. Now I'm the crazy fangirl y'all know me as today.

Also, I owe a lot of my fandom to my sister, who loved TCW and forced me to buy the OT, my dad, who watched TCW with my sister, but refused to pay for the movies, thus leading me to dig through my purse for change, and my mom, who was as big of a fangirl as me when she was my age. She passed along the SW gene I suppose...

My friend jedi chick got me into star wars, I love it! Oh, and i heart chewie

I had watched ANH a few times when I was really young, but I always got bored about the time the droids land on Tatooine and I would walk away. I do have a strange image stuck in my head of Leia's hologram playing on Dagobah. What? I'm not sure why that's in my head; since it never happened. But anyways.
I also watched TPM. I LOVED Queen Amidala's dresses and I thought Jar Jar was the greatest character ever invented. The podrace took years to complete and I hated that part of the movie. My mom came home one day in the middle of the Gungun battle and told Aayla (my little sister) and I that we were too little to watch Star Wars; no more. End of that.
I remember getting mad at one of my friends when she told me that Queen Amidala's name was really Padme. I couldn't STAND that name. Now, I love it.

Fast forward to when I was 13, around Christmas time.

I'm not sure WHY ANH was playing, but it was.
I do remember that my little brother (Obi-Wan) was on a huge Harrison Ford fandom craze at the time. I think my dad may have put the movie on in an effort to try to get him to watch something other than Indiana Jones.
I was bored, so I sat down and watched it. At the end of the movie, I thought, "Wow. That was pretty good."
My mom, Aayla, and I went out the next night and when we returned home, my dad, brother, and other sister were all in the living room, watching ESB. I, seeing that it was the next episode, asked my dad to start it over if they were close to the beginning. He did. (It was not close to the beginning, more like closer to the end, but he started it over anyway.)
After watching the end of that movie, I HAD to watch ROTJ. Unfortunately, it was late, so I had to wait till the next day. AGH!

I watched the prequels some time after that.

That's my intro to Star Wars essay.
