Six Month Anniversary!

Wow, Rachel, I had never even thought of that!

I hate that that it happens to you Karina!! She isn't a real true friend if she puts you down that much!! How could anyone outgrow Star Wars!? My Dad has been a SW guy ever since he was just a young boy! It really doesn't matter what she says God made you the way he saw that he should and I must say he really knew what he was doing! He created us all special and look how he used SW we girls thought we were alone in the geek girl universe now we have awesome friends who don't put us down but lift eachother up!! Sorry I kind of ranted its just something I feel strongly about because friends should be respectful of your likes even if they don't like it!!

I have two friends who like it, but my BESTEST BEST FRIEND hates it so much. XD I feel downright uncomfortable when I talk about it in front of her. Anyway, Karina I TOTALLY know how you feel and I'm SO sorry!!!!! I know how much it hurts and how sad it makes you feel to be put down. That's why I come crawling to my sistahs here. I know y'all won't make fun of me for being in love with Luke Skywalker, or for being able to quote entire TCW episodes. It makes me feel very happy and blessed.

Karina, maybe you should just tell your friend how you feel. I know I sound straight forward on this one, but it usually helps my cousin to stop picking on me. Just say "Hey, you are really hurting my feelings the way you relate to star wars. You're my friend, but it really hurts when you say stuff like that. I have my own unique interests like you." It might just get the message arcross without being brutal or hurtful. Just explain how you feel.

I know a girl (I don't like her, but she's friends with one of my friends so I'm forced to hang out with her a lot) and every time I say I like something, she feels the need to put it down. Almost every time she sees me she says "I watched Star Wars once, it was SO boring." At the beginning of the year I wanted to take guitar lessons. When she found out she said "Guitar is stupid, piano is way better." I don't know why my friend is friends with her. Honestly, our "Lunch table group" is just the snobbiest, most self-centered group of girls. The only reason I sit there is because one of my real friends asked me to come back when I stopped sitting there.
