I can't believe it's TLH has been around for six months already! I want to thank all of you for letting me into your group. It has been great getting to know you and I think each of you are really great people. Mods, love you guys, you have put so much into this site and I thank you.

I just read Ley's old posts thing, and then Amaranthine's and wow. I'm now very sentimental like. :')

TLF is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I remember when Leia sent me the email that she set up the site. I was in Barnes and Noble and checking my email on my new iPod and was jumping up and down, squealing in excitement. XD My mom and just about everyone else in the store thought I had one to many candy canes. XDDDD LOL!

Seriously though, I don't know what I'd do without my sistahs. I can go to y'all when I'm upset, or in need of prayer and I can count on you to be there to listen to me, even if we've never met.
Like earlier today, when my cousin and I were fighting, I thought, 'What I wouldn't give to have one of my Lakehouse sisters to go hug in person."

You get me. I can tell y'all things, and you get excited over the things I get excited over.

See, right now I'm thanking God a billion times for my internet friends. XD My cousin adn I had a 'fight' and I just felt very alone, like no one cared about the things I care about, but then I thought about Leia, and Amaranthine, and Rex'sgirl, CBC, JediKnightGrl, Karina, Satine and ALL my TLF Sisters, and realized that I am NOT alone. I have friends. BEST friends, even if I've never met y'all. I seriously consider you girls my sisters, and some of my best friends.

Jedi~Chick when I read your post tears came to my eyes!! I have had a kind of bad day! I'm just so tired and I came home to our power being out and its really hot outside so our air doesn't work! But I read alot of yalls posts and I feel my spirit lift!! Thank you all for being there for me! And I can't say it better than Jedi~Chick you all get me! And we are family I got all my sisters with me! Lol!

Now I'm gonna cry again. :(

I've had a kinda bad day too. I got made fun of because I like Star Wars from one of my closest friends. But, when I read y'alls posts and how uplifting y'all are, I feel a lot better! Thanks for always being there for me!

I know how you feel, my cousin picks on me about it frequently. She's getting better at leaving me alone about it though. I hope your friend learns to respect your love for Star Wars Karina, we are all different. *big hugs*

WOW six months? I want to thank all of you that made the forum! I'm glad to be apart of this sisterhood. Everyone has been so great. I still can't believe it though... SIX! (And I've only been on here for a month)

I felt the EXACT same way the other night. Literally, my best friend made me feel awful because I like Star Wars. But now we're doing better, and I know that my TLF Sistahs are here for me!!!!! You are all so sweet and loving. I feel so happy and uplifted when I"m with y'all on here.

Now maybe if we work together, we can get my best friend/cousin/your best friend to like Star Wars too. xDDD It'll take some intervention from Divine Providence to get her to change her mind!!!!!! LOL! Thanks for being a good friend. Both online and in real life, (though we don't get to see each other as much as we should. XD)

Also your a great friend too! The only time we see each other is when you have to come and pick your cousin up or something. Oh, and if we still walk by the canal next year you have yet to see me fall in!

Rachel and JediKnightGrl I'm so sorry that your friend and cousin pick on y'all! They should have some respect for yalls likes!! Because you both have loads of friends that will back you till the end!! I know I will stick with y'all and I know the rest of us will!! *big super duper bear hug*

Yeah my friend used to make fun of me, but then it died down for a while and she started to respect my liking of Star Wars. But then all of a sudden she shows me this picture that is a poster of Star Wars but instead of the writing Star Wars it says "Epic Fail". Then I wore my Yoda shirt from HU and she said, "That would be a cute shirt if Yoda wasn't in it". And she jusy kept putting me down. I mean if you're just funning around it's one thing, but if you're constantly putting me down for something I like it hurts.

She's obsessed with the show Cake Boss and she has a weird crush on the baker but I don't constantly make fun of her because of it. Sure I kid with her sometimes, but never to where it will hurt her feelings.

She also said that I will grow out of Star Wars soon. That hurt me the most. She also said that three years ago when I was just becoming a fan. She said my fandom would only last for a few months. Now look, it's been three wonderful years and I am DEFINITELY not even close to falling out of my fandom.

Sorry for that long rant.. Hope that's not too weird.

Keep it up QueenKarina!!! I've had a guy pick on me for liking Star Wars, but he doesn't anymore. He's actually nice now. Maybe if you talk to your friend about it she'd be nicer? The way I think of it, if you get used to standing up for something you like/believe in, you can better stand up for more important things like your faith!
