Aw, that still makes me said though. I love Lucas' movies. I've seen a preview for Red Tails and I really want to go see it.

Guys, he's not dead. He's not even really retiring; he's just retiring from making blockbuster-type movies. The article says he's looking to go back to making more arthouse-type movies.

And besides, we can still look forward to his new movie Red Tails (which looks AWESOME).

THANK YOU SARAH!!!!!!!! All of this whiny stuff about his retirement is annoying the heck out of me!! I wrote a ranty blog post on it to express my opinions.

...yeah well, not gonna lie, if this means that he's not going to keep unnecessarily changing the movies, then I'm pretty happy about that.

Seriously George, we love you and you've made some seriously awesome movies but...some of those changes were really really really not needed. at all.

Honestly, that quote is what makes me the most sad, not so much his retirement. I hate how much junk he takes from fans over changing a few things. I completely understand not liking some of the changes but I think some people go WAY overboard complaining about them. For goodness sakes, they're his movies! He can do whatever he likes with them and I for one will support him in it! I know that we complain some about the Clone Wars stuff and Dave but, for me at least, that's more joking than anything. Some people take it way too seriously and can be hurtful. Which just isn't right. :/

I hope he makes another Indiana Jones. If so, I think there may be a little be more focus on Shia Labeouf's charactor. That's sort of what they led on to in the last movie. Though, I like Harrison Ford more.

I agree, the quote is the main thing that made me sad. I guess I should have been more clear about this.

And I honestly do not want another Indy movie. Its not Indy without Harrison Ford.

Amen it makes me sick how much crap he has to take like you said its HIS movies he can do what he chooses and he doesn't have to answer to us. He is a genius and has been doing an outstanding job and people really need to back off and let him. i agree i may complain as in a joke but some people take it way to seriously like you said. the poor man has had enough of it.

That quote does make me sad, but I think movies should be made because you believe in something or want to tell a story, not just to please fans.There are a lot of ungrateful people who's opinions don't really matter, and they are the ones who sometimes talk the loudest.
I hope Lucas will not feel like he's failed.
