| Well, it depends. I first started with reading the Yoda: Dark Rendezvous, the Young Jedi Knight books, the Junior Jedi Knights books, Secrets of the Jedi, and a few of the New Jedi Order books. Then I went back and started reading them in chronological order- starting with the Jedi Apprentice books and the Old Republic era novels. In my opinion I think it's a good idea to start reading the books after watching the six films. Then after reading a bunch of the books you should watch The Clone Wars(that's how it went with me and it worked quite well.) | |

| For fans of The Clone Wars, I strongly recommend the Republic Commando series by Karen Traviss. It's hilarious, touching, and action-packed. | |

| Hey everyone! I need your help. My friend wants to get into the EU, but I don't know what book I should recommend her to read first. What would you recommend? What was the first Star Wars novel you read? | |

| Hmm I started with The Truce at Bakura it takes place a day after Return of the Jedi. Its a good read. The next book I read was The Courtship of Princess Leia this one you would want to read if you ever wanted to know how Han and Leia got married. I hope this helps | |

| Heir To The Empire is the best EU starter, that series. After that you can go in any direction, New Jedi Order, or go back and read other series. I also HIGHLY recommend Scoundrels if your friend wants something more close to the movies. | |

| I'd start with the Jedi Apprentice series (or even back to the earliest novels if you want to read the entire history) and continue on throughout the story (and they MUST read Secrets of the Jedi- it's important to and they must read it before watching TCW). | |
