| I wrote a book. ... .... yeah. It stinks. But don't worry, I'm rewriting it. I like writing science fiction and adventure, about the really cliched topic of people trying to find their family. Oh, and after I rewrite this book, I'm going to write a historical fiction in pioneer America. | |

| Oh that sounds awesome!!! I wrote a book too. It was Star Wars fanfiction....*oooh, shocker* and it's not that great. It was my first "finished" writing peice, and I hope to be doing more in the future. I LOVE Pioneer America!! I learned all about it last year in school and it's such and interesting time period! Good Luck with it! | |

| I have a story idea myself! So far I'm having trouble keeping it as original as possible.

| Jedi~Chick, I'm kind of stuck in that rut too.
I wrote two books when I was in fifth grade, and I'm re-writing one of them currently. I have a ton of fanfictions, and I'm also currently writing a short story.

| So I started writing again last night. I think I'm getting out of my rut. This story's not Star Wars. I'm so proud. I was driving home last night from the bookstore, and I was suddenly and out of nowhere inspired. I sat down at my laptop and began to write. I'm so excited. It's romantic, adventurious and medeivel!!!! I know I spelled that wrong!! I'll write more about it later. | |

| I just wrote something today and I decided to share. Hope y'all like it. I came up with it in English Class.
It’s the adventures of… Comma Man and his trusty sidekick, Quote Girl! When we last left our heroes, Comma Man was just finishing correcting a ninth grader’s research paper when all of a sudden… Puncturation Mark, the once-good-but-now-evil villain in the week’s story, dropped in and knocked Comma Man down. He then drew his “question blade”, a sword shaped in the form of a question mark, held it up in the air, and said, “You won't walk away from this one, Comma Man! You’re about to be deleted!” Quote Girl stepped in front of Comma Man, drew her “excla-blade”, a sword with a short spherical hilt meant to look like an exclamation point, and said, “Cha skrundee da pat, sleemo (Don’t count on it, slime-ball)” (Skywalker, Anakin; The Phantom Menace). The two rivals engaged in a duel of fierce combat. Both of the opponents were well trained in the art of sword fighting. Puncturation Mark was gaining the upper hand, but Comma Man got up, attached a rope to his “comma-rang”, a boomerang in the shape of a comma, and threw it at Puncturation Mark. Thinking that it was some kind of sharp disk, Puncturation Mark dodged it and said, “Ha! You missed, Comma Man! Plus, you let go of the rope! It’s over!” But the “comma-rang” swung back around and circled around Puncturation Mark. Once Puncturation Mark couldn’t move after the rope had tied him up, he fell over. Quote Girl came over and said, “I’m not impressed” (Tano; Star Wars: The Clone Wars). Then Comma Man came over and said, “Looks like you’re all tied up.” “It’s not over, Comma Man! I will have revenge,” Puncturation Mark exclaimed. “Inconceivable” (Vizzini). Quote Girl then said. “Let’s take him to jail and then we’ll come back and finish correcting that research paper, Quote Girl.” So they did just that and the ninth grader got a good grade with the help of Comma Man and Quote Girl. The End

| Thanks. If you want to know the story behind it, my dad is a lawyer so he's really good at grammar and since he's so good at grammar, we call him "Comma Man". And since I practically quote everything, I'm "Quote Girl". So really this is the fictional story about me and my dad being superheroes. I'm glad you liked it. | |

| I LOVE writing books! I like to write books about horses! I have a book posted on this forum. (If anyone wants to see it!) It's in this section of the forum. I like telling star wars storys, but as far as writing goes.... well... I don't usually write them. | |

| I'm in the middle of writing a book called Freedom's Price. It has a medieval setting, but none of the places or countries are real... It's a great story (I think ) I'm having a lot of fun with it. I tried writing a book once about a young girl growing up during up during wartime in ancient spain. It was very romantic...but i never finished it. It wasn't well written. Oh, well. This book is going to make up for it! | |

| Why don't you go back and maybe rewrite it so it's more well written and maybe you can finish it. | |

I've tried. But honestly, it just won't come out right. There are some really good parts, but like Herman Melville said, "To produce a mighty book, you must choose a mighty theme. No great and enduring volume can be written on the flea, though many there be that have tried it."
