O.O Wow! That's really neat aobut King Henry II!

What are some stereotypes that people have about your culture that annoy you?

Mine is when people try to speak chinese and just babble. >.> or tell me that Chinese people are just naturally smart.

I don't like how some Arizonian's seen to get sterotyped as all Indian and South-western and like, pottery-makingish *is moving hands trying to explain* type... people. XD Nuuuu. That is not the Arizona I know. I think some of the western side of Arizona gets overshadowed by Texas. Not that we are all living on ranches or anything like that.

Canadian stereotypes... well, people think that we see moose on a regular basis, they think that every one of us has maple syrup, and some people even think we live in igloos. Oh, then there's the popular All-Canadians-Say-'Eh'-At-The-End-Of-Every-Sentence stereotype, which is also fake. We do say eh, but not all the time. XD

People think that where I live everyone's a cowboy or cowgirl. I met these people while I was in New York who were shocked to discover that I'm not a cowgirl, nor do I even own any cows or horses I mean yeah there's lots of people around here who enjoy entering cattle shows/bull riding/herding, etc. for fun, but it's not everyone, and it gets over exaggerated

And of course I have a lot of German, so people sometimes give me trouble about Nazi stuff

I don't like the stereotype that all people where I live are hicks, like farming(a lot of people in my family do, though, but that's because my great great great grandfather came over from Norway and started a farm), talk in thick southern accents(which I don't have), say y'all(which I don't), and that we still live in tepees :p.

I also don't like the stereotype that all people of European descent are all racist(a lot are racist, yes, but a lot aren't as well), and can't dance. I don't like the "all blonds are dumb" stereotype(I have blond in my hair, most blond people I know are smart, and a lot of my favorite characters in fiction have blond hair).

I'm Chinese, but I have Mandalorian blood.. jk jk! nope I"m pure chinese! xDDD

I speak French, Mando'a, 2 dialects of Chinese, n English

A lot of people think that we Georgians eat fried chicken and drink sweet tea everyday, that we are really slow and dumb, and that our Southern hospitality is something to be taken advantage of and walked all over. Some things that ARE true, are that even though not all of us drink it EVERYday, we LOVE us some sweet tea. ;D A lot of you will have NO clue what sweet tea is...XD We also DO say y'all, ain't, younder, youngun, "Bless your heart!", buggy (shopping cart, lol!), ma'am, sir, and pretty much most of the other southern terms you can think of!

I used to live in Alabama, so when I moved to where I live now people bugged me about a lot of the same stuff, Tahiri LOL I remember the sweet tea!!! Man, I miss all the food from over there! Though I can't complain too much about the food where I live, Georgia and Alabama have the BEST food ever!!!

We have a lot of Mexican food where I live, but we also eat plain old American stuff. There's this awesome mexican dish I learned to make and I'm so happy because, I love it to death! I could eat the entire thing all my self, like, I told my mom I could eat nothing else my entire life if I had to and not get sick of it. LOL! Don't know if that's gospel truth or not, but it's soooo goooood. XD

We have a lot of it here, too. I love Mexican food!

Yummy mexican food! I have to admit, though, that the americanized versions DO taste better to me.

I agree, I love Mexican food!!! And I love Asian, and German, and Italian, and Irish/English/Scottish/Welsh, and Norwegian, and Indian(India), and French, and Spanish, and European.
In my family we celebrate heritage days for every country we have ancestry from. It's really cool and we get to eat food from all different kinds of places
