First day of School!

That's awful! I thought the same thing would happen to me but there are a couple of nice girls my age. It happened last year, all my close friends had left and all my acquaintances had their own friends. You just have to "leave your old life behind"(how cliche is that) and start again. Don't worry! You can do it!

What is co-op?

OH!!!! I do that too!! My group calls it "Academy Day" I'm really excited for them to start because in the first one I'm taking volleyball and in the second I'm taking woodworking and dance!!!!

Yeah, something similar happened to me, Ley. I moved south, and when i visited the church half a year later, barely anyone really welcomed me...

School was so tiring...I would go into detail but if you stop by my blog later you'll see. I'm with mostly the same kids which is a good/bad thing.

I'm sorry Ley. :( that's sad.

I like Saints (my Homeschool PE program) because I know all the kids from there. We're not old enough to 'grow out of' P.E. yet, though my one friend drove herself today! xD
Anyways, it's nice to see old friends, but make new friends too. Today I hung out a lot with a 'younger' (she's 12 almost 13) girl who was in my group, and she's super nice! I had a good time playing sports with her and Maryanna. (and I Heart Chewie, but she was on a different team! LOL!!) xD

I hope y'all make some good friends this year!!!!! I know how it is to know no one and feel very alone. :(

Two days ago it was my first day of 10'th grade. It went pretty good. Heres what I do...

Algebra 1 (My worst! ) we use a program called teaching text books.


I'm studying Taxonomy for science (which is pretty good so far.) we use a curiculum called life pacs for science.

Im studying early civlaization for history. I also use life pacs for this subject

For writing I'm working on a fairy tale (yay! )

English I'm using a book called easy grammar.

I'm also doing Spanish ( I wanted to learn Japenese, but my mom said no), But we haven't started it yet.

Go IEW!!! I've been doing their courses for the past few years and have loved them! This semester I'm doing a course on advanced communications (essay writing, note taking, speaking). I did Apologia's physical science as well! I enjoyed it, but couldn't understand some of the math.

WOO HOO!!!!!! I LOVE IEW!!!!! I've been doing their program since I started with homeschooling, and I've even got to meet Mr. Pudwa (Spelling?? XD) twice!!!!!! He's very tall in person, but extremely nice! And he's very smart. He was super nice to me. xD I was starstruck.

SCRATCH THAT!!!! I MET HIM THREE TIMES!!!!!!
I have stories about that. I'll save them for later though.

Ley, I've had the exact same situation many times. I came home in tears almost every time because everyone at co-op would completely shun me. I was the "outcast" for whatever reason, didn't have the newest video game or the cool people as my friends. Even my closest friend called off any friendship because the rich girl was so much "better" than me. I'm not trying to discourage you, but I know how you feel.

I don't have too many friends at my "co-op" (Academy Day ) either... but I'm hoping now that I'm doing both Academy Days (there's two) that I'll make some more friends, because apparently Academy 1 has a lot of high school students and Academy 2 doesn't have as many. Since I was only doing Academy 2 last year that probably would explain why I didn't really know anyone. Everyone I knew was either waaay younger than me or a guy XD

I started algebra 1 also, and boy is that a pain I've just been in the same homeschooling group for YEARS so I only have like 10 really good friends that I've known for a really long time.
I'm doing Algebra 1, studying the biology and US history and Analyzing literature CLEP exams (collage tests that give you 6 units of college credit), computer programming online classes at MIT,a literature class on Arthurian Legend, some random grammar book, reading the Bible, and the Rosetta Stone Arabic program... I think that's it.

I know what it's like to be an outcast even though I go to public school. But I've reached a point where I don't really care what they think and their words don't hurt me anymore It's nice.

You have? That is so awesome!!!! Gosh, I don't know what I'd do if I met him...probably awkwardly babble something about how much I love him and what he's taught me...maybe I should write him a letter instead (with all the dress-ups and sentence openers of course!).

LOL!!!!!!!! I probably babbled like an idiot. XDDDDDD He is SO nice though!!!! I was so starstruck. Over my WRITING teacher. XDDDDD LOL!!!!
