| Okay, it's easy enough. Pick a LotR character from the books/movies or make up your own (if you make up your own please specify what 'race' your character is: hobbit, elf, man, etc.)! We play by writing in a fan-fiction style, however we only control our character(s) (yes, you can have more than one)! I'd like to be Rosie Cotton if no one else minds. Is anyone else interested in doing this? | |

| I'm going to ask my mom if I can start reading the LOTR series soon, and if I do I'd be glad to join the RP. Which book is best to start with? | |

| I'm still reading the first one, Fellowship of the Ring, so I haven't read them all, just watched the movies. But I would definitely say read The Fellowship of the Ring, then The Two Towers, then The Return of the King, because that's the chronological order of the story, not like a series where you can skip around. Oh, and there's a book called The Hobbit which is a prequel and it's about Bilbo, who is a character in LotR. Bilbo is the MC (main character) in The Hobbit, Frodo is the MC in LotR. Hope that helps! | |

| Thank you! Next time I'm at the library I'll try to pick up the first one! (Yay for summer reading!) | |

| I'd recommended reading The Hobbit first, followed by The Lord of the Rings in order, but if you can't get into the Hobbit, then I'd suggest going right into LotR. Mmm, I'm certainly interested in such a RP. I am working on what seems like a lot of writing projects right now though... When I first saw the thread I was like That's cool you like Rosie Cotton! I go by that name on a few sites. Not sure who I'd want to play yet... When would you like this to take place? We could do it before, during, or after LotR, depending on what kinds of things we'd like to do and what characters we would like in it. | |

| Yay maryanna, they are awesome aren't they?? Arda, I was thinking before the journey. I saw a Bilbo's Party RP on one website, maybe we could RP the party too for starters and go into the journey to Mount Doom from there? The hobbits etc. not involved in the quest or not at the party (like elves and men) could continue their lives in their own homes. | |
