CVI- It's in Florida

I just received an email from the official CVI website. It's going to be in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center on August 23-26, 2012. YAY! Who's excited? I'll be going, will you?

Life hates me. THat's the farthest away possible point from me on the map, practically. All you online people will be going and I can't...sigh. :(

I think that my mom is going to make me a new Leia costume (ANH white dress) for CVI. I can also wear my Jedi costume. I'm sure that I'll whip up some sort of Cad Bane freak outfit too! LOL!

Cad Bane's Chick, YES!!!!!!!!! I'd LOOOOVE to go and meet you and my friends! My mom said that she and my dad will have to think about it, but it's something she can hold over my head for a year! LOL! I can't wait!!!!!!!!! I'm SO excited!

No!!!!!! *smacks head against desk* Why? Why does it have to be in Orlando again? It was there last time. Why can't they do a favor to all the people who didn't get to go last time because it was too far? Now I won't get to go to CVI.

Ugh, I just wanted to go to ONE Star Wars convention, just one, but no, it has to be all the way in Florida. I'll probably never end up going to one until I'm in college.

The Orange County Convention Center has a two year contract apparently. I wish you could all go!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, at least it's Florida and not California; I'm only an 8-10 hour drive from Orlando. But I don't think I can go; after looking up hotel and airfare and ticket prices that's just a little too expensive for me to pay for. Especially since my parents are probably not going to help pay my way. Which is a bummer, because this looks like my best chance to meet Mark Hamill.

Whelp, guess I'll just go back to hoping that he comes to Dragon*Con, since that's at least in my hometown.

LOL it should be in Texas. It's halfway between both sides of the country and there's never any conventions in Texas.

I feel better about it, though, after reading Jedi~Chick's blog post. At least my friends who get to go will have fun.
