Awesome!!!
Did anyone else hear about Marvel changing Thor into a woman and making the Falcon/ Sam Wilson the next Captain America? The Thor thing bothers me a lot, but making Sam Wilson the next Captain America doesn't bother me.

I heard about that! Neither one bothers me, but either way I don't think it will last that long. They do this stuff all the time in the comic books. Everyone lost it around a year ago when they made Doc Oc the next Spider-Man, but Peter Parker is already back.

I've heard both as well! I'm really excited for both! Thor is my favorite Avenger so Thor being a woman is so cool! And I like Sam Wilson a lot, so him being Captain America is so great!

So, who heard the news about Captain America 3 adapting the famous Civil War storyline?
I'll be honest, I'm a little nervous. I didn't want Marvel to do a Civil War movie because I am afraid it will distract from the Thanos storyline and it is also an extremely sad story, but I still trust Marvel with it. They know what they are doing and they will get it to work. I'll be more excited when it approaches, I'm sure.
Though, this also sort of strengthens my theory on who I think will die.

It will be cool to have more interaction between Captain America and Iron Man (though the interaction probably won't be as friendly as in Avengers). They have a very interesting friendship.
Another Marvel thing I have heard lately that I found interesting is that supposedly Ewan McGregor is being considered for Doctor Strange. I don't know if there is any truth to that, but I think it would be very cool to have him be in a Marvel movie!

It's official: we are finally getting a Captain Marvel movie! Also, Black Panther! Yay!!! They are both such amazing characters and I can't wait to see them come to life on the big screen!
I'm sad that there is no Black Widow movie, though. But the roster for the next few movies looks great! After Age of Ultron we have Ant-Man, then Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War: Part 1, Captain Marvel, Inhumans, and finally Avengers: Infinity War: Part 2.
I find it interesting that they are splitting Infinity War into two. I hope that works out, but I'm sure it will. They are going to fit a lot of characters in by the looks of it (I've heard rumors of the Guardians and even Spier-Man possibly being in it) so it makes sense that they would have to split it up like that.
I'm not familiar with Inhumans, so I will have to do some research! The rest of the new characters I am familiar with, however, and they are all some of my favorite Avengers, so I'm pretty thrilled for them to finally get movies!

Did anyone see the new Ant-Man trailer? It looks interesting, but I'm still kind of sore about them using Scott Lang instead of Hank Pym. Hank Pym is one of the most interesting Marvel characters -- as well as a very different type of character from any in their previous movies -- and I feel like they wasted a lot of potential there. I'm sure it will still be a good movie, though, and I like the actor they chose.
I also hope that Janet Van Dyne (Wasp) is in the movie! She's one of my favorite Marvel characters.

I saw it too!
I'm not too much of a comic-book person (more like a comic-book-movie/TV show person), so I'm not as in to Ant-Man, so I'm not as disappointed with these changes. The trailer was cool, but nothing too special, in my opinion. To me, it's another Marvel movie, so I'm going to go see it and I hope it keeps up Marvel's good-movie-streak.

Yeah, I think anything that comes from Marvel will be good. Ant-Man also has really cool powers, so there is a lot of creative stuff they can do with that. I know people always laugh when they hear the name "Ant-Man", but he really does have some seriously cool powers.

Has anyone seen the new Avengers trailer yet? It is so cool!!! I think it is the best trailer so far. Ultron's voice . . . They definitely picked the right actor.
I am also intrigued at the idea of Bruce and Natasha being a thing. Personally I could totally see it. This might just be a tease, though, like the whole Steve and Natasha thing was in The Winter Soldier.
And finally, the best part in the entire trailer . . . Vision's reveal!!! Words cannot describe how excited I am that he is going to be in this movie!
The whole movie looks so good! I just can't wait!

So, I saw Age of Ultron tonight.
Spoiler:
It was really good!!! VISION! I have waited so long for this, and he did not disappoint! He is just as I always wanted him to be on the big screen! I feel like my child is all grown up! *cries*
They did a good job building on everyone's stories and just building on the Marvel storyline in general. It's a lot of material to handle but they did an excellent job.
Hawkeye was freaking awesome! I loved his family! That was so sweet!
I also liked how they built the friendship more between Steve and Tony. That's going to be interesting once Civil War comes around.
I also thought the romance between Bruce and Natasha was . . . interesting. They fit together well enough considering their dark pasts, but it was too rushed. I was kind of surprised she actually opened up to someone like that. It seemed out of character, but my reasoning is that with each movie she's become more and more human. I think this is supposed to show a progression from how cold and manipulative she was in the first Avengers movie to her becoming more human. At least I think? Idk, Bruce was a bit out of character too.
I wouldn't say I enjoyed this one as much as the first film simply because everything about the first one was a surprise for me since I knew nothing about the Avengers, and because of simple nostalgia. But this film was definitely a great movie and a good continuation of the story.
Oh, and Ultron is BY FAR my favorite Marvel villain so far. He was great!!! He was creepy, threatening, and yet hilarious all at the same time.
The one thing I was disappointed about was that there was no scene after all of the credits D: What the heck Marvel?! My brother and I were expecting Black Panther or Spider-Man. Way to let us down!
Anyways, it was a fantastic movie! Not as good as Cap 2 or GotG or even the first Avengers movie, but still good.

This is a repost of what I posted on tumblr because it still sums up my thoughts pretty well.
Spoiler:
The movie itself was good. Not Cap 2 good, or even the first Avengers good, but good. The storyline, when it wasn’t being veered off course by stupid romance, was okay and i LOVED the infinity gem subplot, bc it’s my favourite in the mcu. There were a few characterizations that I was “Meh” about (Natasha, Bruce, sometimes Steve) but I really enjoyed Tony and Clint’s characters. (Neutral on Thor. He’s never been high on the radar for me.) It was so good to see more of Clint and where he lives and what he does. I was so genuinely worried about him for a minute there at the end and was just chanting “clint, don’t die, clint don’t die” under my breath until the dust cleared and we had a new set of problems to worry about.
The whole “Language!” plot was hilarious. I really loved the beginning fight, I thought it had way more heart and character then the end one. It was so good to see the Avengers working together as a structured team and I spent the first half hour with a gigantic smile on my face.
Joss Whedon understands how to write Tony Stark and I have to give him credit for that. Tony’s whole character is driven by fear and that is very clear in this movie, from the time Wanda shows up and gives him a vision. I loved Wanda’s line about how Ultron doesn’t know the difference between saving and destroying the world, and where did he get that from? I wish there would have been more reaction from him about loosing JARVIS, though. Jarvis was important to him and then there just... wasn’t a lot.
(That’s one of my biggest problems with this movie. It seriously lacked emotion. There was too much jammed into it and they cut the emotion to make room for it all.)
I was so sad when JARVIS “died” though. Like I spend the next hour and a half going.... “but.... why??? this can’t be happening????” and then it turned out he was still around and I was like “yAY” and then we had three seconds of actual JARVIS again before he was uploaded into the Vision and we lost him forever. Why the heck did Tony not have a backup in case things failed? what was FRIDAY seriously i am not here for anyone flying Tony’s suits but JARVIS. Give me fix-it fics immediately.
The Vision, though. I love the Vision and I wish he had gotten more screentime because he was so interesting. This movie could have been four hours long and i still would have watched it because everyone would have had time for emotion/character building that made sense/ect. Anyway. HE LIFTED THOR’S HAMMER. HE USED THOR’S HAMMER. VISION IS WORTHY. Y E S.
(I kind of wanted Vision/Tony friendship so we could see a little bit of JARVIS in him but alas. I guess Brucetasha was more important. Which, no.)
moving on to Brucetasha, NO. NO NO NO NO NO. JOSS WHY. THAT WAS SO PAINFUL TO SIT THROUGH. BRUCE’S CHARACTER DIDN’T DESERVE THAT. NATASHA’S CHARACTER DIDN’T DESERVE THAT. WHAT THE HECK. I have not come across a single person who liked that plotline. And what was with Bruce and Natasha always talking about running away together?? Have you actually met Natasha?? Okay i get Bruce actually leaving, but it did feel like Natasha’s entire storyline revolved around Bruce and nO. That was so out of character? I literally cannot believe. Bruce was OOC too, but at least he got to have a bit of a life outside Nat.
(Side note, I love Bruce and Tony’s relationship. Science bros are the best. Those cuts of them working together in the lab were great and thank you aou for getting that right.)
I liked seeing Clint’s family, though. I’d already known beforehand that he had one so it didn’t come as a shock to me, and that made it easier to deal with. AND. AUNT NAT. CLINT’S KIDS DRAWING HER PICTURES. NATASHA CAN’T HAVE KIDS BUT SHE LOVES CLINT’S ANYWAY. HERE FOR THIS. I also liked Laura, she seemed very cool and supportive. (And they named their son Nathaniel Pietro after Quicksilver and Nathaniel is like the male version of Natasha awwww)
(Also I wish Pietro hadn’t had to die. But I hadn’t formed enough of an emotional connection to him to really be sad??? I was sad for Wanda though.)
Now onto something that I really loved. LOKI’S STAFF IS THE MIND GEM. WHY DID I NOT SEE THIS COMING. THANOS IS STILL MANIPULATING THINGS AND EVENTS AND YES GOOD. I still have such high hopes for Infinity Wars and i think both of those movies are going to be spectacular.
And then the mid credits scene with Thanos saying he has to do it himself and lifting the gauntlet. I AM SO READY FOR AVENGERS VS THANOS. BUT ENOUGH WITH THIS DIVIDE AND CONQUER THING.
Also I loved the nod to Wakanda. It leaves the perfect opening for the Black Panther to come in in Cap 3.
I think what really disappointed me about the Avengers was the lack of unity between the team. With the opening battle i thought they were working as... well, a team, but then the movie progresses, mind control things start happening, and people turn on each other, just like the last Avengers movie. We’ve seen this one already. Give me some team unity.
I mean, there was some team unity. I liked the party scene ft Sam, Maria and Rhodey. And the end battle was pretty neat. But then Thor leaves in the end, Tony, what, quits the Avengers? and Bruce is still gone. That leaves Cap, Nat and I suppose sometimes Clint to lead the new Avengers, which yay! Sam! but wanda and vision did not get enough screentime for me to want them on the team just yet. That was an unsatisfying ending and left me with a bad feeling in my stomach, which was not what I wanted from this movie.
Oh well. Cap 3 comes out next year. Help me, Russo brothers. You’re my only hope.
Overall: Solid movie. Very funny. Interesting new characters and good storyline. Ultron was a creepy and good villian. Too rushed. Not enough emotions. Not enough working as a team!Avengers. Stepping stone in a bigger universe, a stepping stone that I got my hopes up too much for.

Okay, I don't have time today to go into too much detail (so I won't have spoilers); but in a nutshell, I really liked this movie! Now that I think about it, I think I like Captain America 2 better, but I still really like this movie! The fights and action sequences were awesome; the humor was really funny; the story (not the plot) is now really starting to set up both Civil War and Infinity Wars; and I personally liked all the characters and their relations to one another. Were there some problems? Probably. Will I elaborate on them later? Possibly. Do I still really like the movie? Yes!
EDIT: Okay, so I will say a few specific things that are a bit spoiler-y
Spoiler:
Okay: 1.) So... I guess that whenever in the first film when BW told Loki "Love is for children, I owe him a debt.", I guess she really meant that since Hawkeye's kids (to me after only seeing it one time over 24 hours ago) looked older than 2 or 3 years old (or at least the oldest one did), since that would mean that at the time, he was already married with at least 1 kid at the time of the first Avengers movie. So really even though it's possible that they've had a previous romantic history before he met his now-wife, then that's certainly not the case now (or at the time of the first Avengers movie). Oh great, all that rambling for pointing out the obvious... I feel stupid now. 2.) I find it ironic that Scarlett Johansson was pregnant during the filming of AoU, but Black Widow now has the terrible tragic horrific backstory (or snippet of a backstory) of being sterilized at the end of her assassin training and such so she can't have children. 3.) As for Brutasha, I think that the pairing is interesting and possibly believable, but I found the execution of it to be a bit off. Basically, in this movie, we build up that they have a relationship budding, we have some sort of pay-off (along with diving into their backstories and such), but quickly we rush into this whole running away thing which then leaves us with no relationship at the end. Wouldn't it have been better if the whole movie (or at least that particular subplot) was build-up and then at the end, payoff. Then in Civil War, then we have a small subplot of the whole running away thing in order to get away from the mess of the Civil War? Instead, it's all kind of smushed together. 4.) I like Ultron. I thought he was intimidating, threatening, but also kind of funny. The only thing I didn't really like about him was the way his lips moved. Something about that just threw me off a bit. 5.) I still REALLY want a solo Black Widow movie... why can't we have one, Marvel?! Scarlett Johansson has the ability to carry a movie (even if the movie itself is a bit weird); you certainly have the directors to pull off a Black Widow movie; heck, if you're making a Captain Marvel movie in the future, this shows that you can at least try to pull off a female-lead superhero film; a lot of people like Black Widow and want to see her in her own solo film; why can't we have one?! Why?! It it because you only want to give characters that you are now introducing their own film to set them up? If that's the case, then what about Spider-Man? You're putting him into Civil War and then giving him his own movie! What about Black freakin' Widow?! ... I apologize for my rant... 6.) I kinda wish that they didn't kill Pietro/Quicksilver. I know that they didn't really develop him as much as Scarlett Witch and such, so he's a bit expendable, and at least we do have Scarlett Witch joining this New Avengers team and her reaction to her brother dying, but I almost... sort of... maybe... think... that maybe... Hawkeye should've died instead... I mean it felt sort of like they were setting it up with the family and such so that we'd have more of a connection to him when he died and it would sort of be a reason for the Avengers to sort of split up and go towards their ideologies in Civil War because an original Avenger died. I don't want Hawkeye to die. I just think that the emotional buildup for Civil War may or may not have been better if Hawkeye had died instead of the new guy we barely got to know. 7.) I do really like Vision in this. As SWA said, I wish that there would have been more of a friendship between Tony and Vision since he was Jarvis. I also did see Vision coming, but I didn't expect Thor to be involved or... you know it's coming... the fact that he picked up Thor's hammer... OH MY GOSH!!! HE PICKED UP THOR'S HAMMER!!! AHHHH!!! I also did see the whole infinity stone thing from Loki's stick thing coming too, but only because I had watched a video explaining the Infinity Stones first. 8.) I will just say this. I really do love the Avengers and from a movie-making perspective it was ground-breaking. However, I saw the Avengers before I saw any other Marvel movie (aside from Spider-Man), so know that I've seen all these other Marvel movies, including the best in my opinion, Captain America 2, now I have a better connection to these characters and to what's going on and what's gonna happen next and such, so I feel like I sort of like this better than the first one. Although it has it's issues, so does the first one. Some may argue that both films have similar issues and it's only now that people are seeing them so it makes it seem like this movie's actually bad or at least "totally not as good as the first one". I do think that this movie has sort of expanded on the good things (like character development and such which was almost nonexistent in the first movie), plus now I have the connection to all of this, so in my opinion, this is the better movie.
Wow, that was way longer than I wanted it to be.

I saw it again last night and definitely liked it a lot more. I think it's one of those movies that you have to watch a few times to fully grasp. I like Ultron as a villain a lot more now, along with the maximoff twins.
