First day of School!

This was my first day too and I really enjoyed it! Except for that blasted essay that I have to write... xD I'm just not very creative when it comes to essays.

I remember one time I had to write something about Mark Twain. I wrote two pages for just a brief summary of his life. It turned out I only needed a paragraph....

I have orientation early tomorrow morning. I go to high school this wednesday!! 9th grade!! EEE! I'm excited, but nervous because I'm taking all honors classes and I don't know how to keep up with all of it, and I have to take Spanish online, yuck....

I'm already in my 3rd week of school. It's going pretty good but I can't wait until fall break!! LOL!

Ughh, my state is trying to dispose homeschooling all together, on authority they don't have. I may have to move to Florida with JC and CBC!

California is better! It's very moderate and it's NEVER humid. The hottest we get is like ninety degrees and the coolest we get is sixty! Move to california!

My town won the 'National Baldridge Award' that means it's the safest, bestest city EVER. It beat out someplace in Texas and California. xDD

LOL!!! I wish you could move here JKG. We've got a GREAT homeschool community.

My town got an All-America city award of some sort (not sure on the award name).
I'm going to be in 8th grade. MY LAST YEAR OF MIDDLE SCHOOL! YAYAYAYAYAYAY!
I have (not in any order):
1.Algebra I 9this is like a year ahead math or something..I'm nervous)
2. Orchestra/Gym (blech)
3.Honors Social Studies
4.Family and Consumer Sciences
5.10th grade Spanish
6.Writing Workshop (it doesn't' come in honors which is too bad, writing isn't too hard)
7.9th grade Science
8.Honors ELA

I want to move to Florida someday, but Oklahoma is a very nice place to live too. I don't know about homeschooling, but we have very good public schools. My school is one of the best in the state.

Nashville is where it's at, folks! Well... the surrounding counties are where it's at. My county had one of the best school districts in the country! We get nice weather and if you want to see Country Music stars like Carrie Underwood at a grocery store, then I suggest you move down here, y'all!

FACS is Home Ec. New York's pretty cool too. If I moved I'd miss Winter. We get so much weather here. I'd also miss going to NYC. But there is nothing Star Wars related here!

Haha, Oklahoma has nothing Star Wars related. It sometimes feels like I'm the only SW fan in the state, although I know everyone likes it ok, people at school are already talking about the 3D releases, but I was the one who informed them about that XDD

Unfortunately, Nashville has nothing SW related either. There's country stuff, just not SW stuff.

Ok, I'm really nervous because Tuesday is my first real day of school in four years. I've been homeschooled that whole time, and havnt seen some of the people in my class for that time.

Also, I have an akward question, but I need help!

Any Sex Ed. class I've had to take has been only me. I never like it, but have been able to survive because I'm not with a bunch of people. And now I go back to school. And now there will be 15 other students with me. And there are guys in the class, too. Apperntly the guys in my class are highly immature and make way to many inaproprate jokes (I know this becaus a few of my friends I have stayed close with told me).

I cant conveniently "loose" my science book like I did in sixth grade. So what do I do? Please help me on this!

Hmm... well, you could bring a Star Wars book to hide inside your school book. I'm not sure I can help you on this... I haven't been in public school since grade one, and I don't remember much of it.

Shaak Ti, I wouldn't be worried. We get those "sex ed." classes every year, and people behaved fine during the classes. Sometimes people would giggle, but nobody ever said anything super inappropriate or awkward.

My first day of school was today. It's kind of serreal, cuz I'm starting high school and everythings harder but the teachers are telling me to take it easy, but it's a bit stressful what with everything else happening...and I'm really confused. At least its familiar-I went there last year. It's not a public school, so I don't have any special classes. And I have to really step it up this year, thinking about college and stuff...I want an art class... But my first day of school, all in all, was pretty good.

I have a LOT of work this year, and already I've had to do a ton of reading and stuff. Math wasn't too bad, my mom helped me and it was easy stuff I already knew. I was just getting frustrated.
Spelling and Grammar is fun. I think it's my favorite so far. xD
We're studying Ancient Egypt as our first unit study, and you can go to my deviantART to see my picture from that.
I have to read Ancient Egyptian Literature now.....which I find both boring and confusing. XD But the other Egypt book I have to read it really COOL!!!!!!

So all in all it's been a good day.

JC, I really think you'll like Egypt. It's so interesting once you get into it. Think positive!!! Also, I love your picture on DA.

And I'm beginning to like it more and more. The Literature is very.....tedious though. The other book I'm reading for it I am in LOVE WITH!!! It's AMAZING!!

JC, I did Ancient Egypt as a unit study a few years ago! We read an AWESOME book called the Golden Goblet, its really good!
