It's been 6 months today since The Lakehouse Forums was created! We didn't realize this fact till just now! LOL!

I can't believe it! We were chatting about the usual stuff and we were discussing having a Lakehouse Appreciation day and I was like "We should have it at our yearly anniversary, or our six month anniversary! And Ley was like TODAY IS OUR SIX MONTH ANNIVERSARY!" I freaked!

I declare an impromptu Lakehouse Appreciataion day!

When Leia first blogged about starting the forum, I thought she was crazy! I was like, fine, I'll join! I didn't know Leia very well at ALL.

I decided to be a moderator on a whim! I didn't think the forum would do very well or last very long!

Now we have 51 members and I can't think of anything Star Wars related without thinking of you girls! I didn't think I would ever have such amazing internet friends! My brother won a kite with Rex on it the other day and I automatically thought about Rex's girl!

When I have a bad day I know my day is just a click away from getting a lot better!

YAY!!! I'm so glad the lakehouse is what it is today. I can't imagine my life with out it now! It's been so amazing to meet such wonderful girls like y'all, and to be able to talk about anything without being judged or put down. The Lakehouse has been such a big blessing in my life. I told my friend(who is one of the greatest people life and I love her to death about this website how great the people are and how we have christian views! I thought it would be nice to have a tribute to the forum by posting my early thoughts about TLF I posted about six months ago on my blog! The ........ means that I left off some of the quote.

December 11, 2010 Maybe I should create a forum just like Her Universe's forum only it could be a Christian girl forum......... What do you guys think?

December 22, 2010 I was going to wait until after CHRISTmas to create that forum, but I decided to at least go ahead and get it fixed up. I am going to aim it towards girl SW fans.......

I picked out a skin for the forum, but I'm not so sure. I didn't want it too girly, but I wanted it to have a girl look to it........

Secondly I chose a name for it. I was going to call it "The Lakehouse" for the lakehouse on Naboo, but I haven't fully decided on that name. Feel free to give some suggestions.

I'm also going to need some mods. I can't make everyone one, so don't be upset if you aren't made one. I'd just like to know who'd be interested in being one. I will decide how many mods are needed......

Amaranthine: I'd like to be a moderator! I have no moderating experience(besides my story-criticizing.) I live online, know a bit of HTML and Python, and can(mostly) fix my own computer problems, so I can say that I can solve many online problems involving websites.

As for skins, I like Blue night. See how I can put links in comments? That is HTML powah.

I'll see what I can come up with for a banner.

Dancing with Anakin: I like the idea of The Lakehouse for the name!

I won't be a mod; but I'll be an active participant. I'll try not to cause TOO much trouble.

Well, I worked last night and this morning to get the forum into shape. I am still working on it, to tell you the truth. Please become a member! Right now only Amaranthine, Jedi~Chick, and myself are members. (The Admin account is just me. =P) Please spread the word around!

I like the name too, only I made a mistake. It's supposed to be The Lake House, only when I created the forum it was right after Christmas & I guess I was high on sweets or something and did it The Lakehouse instead. Razz
