WHOA. O.o
Spoiler:
And guys, remember when Korra ran to that cliff and one of her tears fell over the edge? I think she was contemplating suicide. Extremely insane, but this is Korra loosing almost all of her bending we're talking about here. An Avatar only goes into the State for a few reasons:
1) Highly intense worry, pain or anger. 2) Their loved ones being in danger. 3) Defeat. 4) The Avatar's life or the Avatar Cycle being in danger.
Amon may have been evil, but he was no idiot. For all we know, removing Korra's bending and letting her finish the job by may have been all apart of the plan...

That is a very interesting point of view! I never thought about that... That COULD have been what she was about to do..she might have killed herself, but I think she would have wanted to continue fighting and try any way possible to get her bending back.

Am I the only one who thinks Amon is still alive? They showed the explosion from a distance, after all, which didn't really clarify weather or not he died, and if there's one thing I know about cartoon villains, it's that they are super hard to kill

Alrighty. I saw the finale when it premiered. I'll write my thoughts in a spoiler thingy. XDDD
Spoiler:
I CRIED THROUGH THE ENTIRE HOUR. I WAS A SCREAMY, SOBBING, SCREECHING MESS. KORRA IS OFFICIALLY THE BEST TV SHOW ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET EVER. I cried so hard during the last five minutes of the finale that I couldn't BREATHE. Literally. I was sobbing too hard. XD I was THRILLED that Mako and Korra ended up together. I SHIP THEM SO HARD AND NOW THEY ARE CANON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cried learning Amon's backstory. Seriously, that was SAD. I almost felt BAD for Tarrlok!!!!! D: Bolin is still my favorite character. He's so sweet and hilarious and he rocked in this episode. I hope in Season 2 he's focused on some more. HE NEEDS MORE LINES. Asami kicked butt. I cried for her too. Mako was so great. He's sometimes jerky, but he was perfect here. Totally perfect. I am officially in LOOOOOVE with General Iroh. SO IN LOVE. He's perfect with sprinkles on top. He has Zuko (his grandpa!)'s voice, and he's INCREDIBLY hot. XD He was awesome. I cried through the entire ending, from when Amon took Korra's bending to the time the credits rolled. I lost it when Aang saved the day, and then when Katara was there too. GOOD GOD KATARA ajfd;slajlskf;aj;skflasjl;dkad;ljk. The scene towards the end, when Katara is trying to heal Korra, I was a bawling mess. XD Korra's parents, her friends, her Airbending family.....they were all there, and you could SEE the saddness in their eyes. :( Then I was still a mess when Korra gave Lin her bending back. YAY FOR LIN!!!!!!! She is too epic. ;D As for season two, I hope they focus more on the friendships made in S1....I want more with Korra and Mako, more of Bolin, A BUNCH MORE with Iroh, Asami and BUMI. I can't wait to see him. I'd love more flashbacks from ATLA too. This got really long. XDDDDD
^-^ I have witnesses from my hysteria btw. XD

I just found this on Tumblr and DIED:
Shipping Roster:
Last Airbender Fleet: Kataang: Flagship of the fleet. Currently considered unsinkable. Sukka: Radio silence for four years, whereabouts unknown, condition unknown, presumed operational Maiko: Contact lost, considered heavily armed, presumed operational Tokka: Recent engagements have left the ship crippled but the crew refuse to abandon her. Zutara: Pirate ship, last seen patrolling Fire Nation waters - caution is advised.
Legend of Korra Fleet: Makorra: Heavily damaged but still fighting, crew morale at an all time low. Borra: Currently proclaimed sunk. Remaining crew have converted to submarine mode. Masami: Taking heavy fire from the Makorra, as yet no fatal damage. Pemzin: Privateer, ship has been known to broadside. Crew considered manic. Linzin: Came out of nowhere, delivered a salvo to the Pemzin and did heavy damage to the Tokka, then was hit badly. Currently taking water. Tahnorra: Docked in Republic City Harbour, captain missing. Amorra: Ghost ship. Sightings have been reported, none confirmed. Howrra: Last seen heading for second star to the right

Spoiler:
So there's this theory that bending is connected to chakras, right? Well, the Air Chakra is opened by love. Which is why Korra could bend air when trying to save Mako, who she loves.

I have mixed feelings about Makorra... I mean, when has a fan favorite pairing in ANY series come to be reality so fast? I ship it, but as a multishipper in THIS series (DOWN WITH LUX), I'm like:
That, and ever since episode five, Bolin has gotten NO development. Remember in the finale when he said, "I'm just going to go stand in this corner... quietly. Alone."? That was his character in a nutshell. My favorite character from ATLA was Sokka, but do you know why? He was drop dead funny, but had development and plenty of chances to shine and grow.
Bolin? Pure comic relief, his much more authentic love for Korra ignored, even by her. He loves her so much he was willing to let her go and not push his feelings on her. And think of what type of situation he's in: his brother is leading on two girls, one that he loves... and at least one is going to get hurt. But he's not interfering, even though there's a good chance Korra could be the one that gets hurt.
Bolin is an amazing character who is naturally funny, but he was pushed aside in favor of a Makorrasami love triangle. The Spirit of Competition didn't do anything but introduce Asami, who is definitely better than running into someone with her moped, even if he was jaywalking.
/rant off
All I'm saying is, Mako and Korra are cute... but a sailor never abandons her ship, even if it's converted to subarine mode and being heavily bombed by the S.S. Makorra.

WHY CAN'T I WATCH THIS! Ugh... I have read all of the spoilers on here and also just spent a good hour looking at LOK stuff on JC's tumbler, but that doesnt satisfy me! Ugh, I wish so badly I could watch the rest of the season (I'm in Europe, thus no good WiFi, thus no Korra).
I haven't really seen Iroh yet (other than in pictures and JC's Tumbler), but I can only say: you girls can have him, Zuko is still mine!
Pink: I love the "Shipping Rooster" lol!

I agree, Sokka was a wonderful character on ATLA! He was very funny, but he had loads of development(I loved the episode Sokka's Master where he learned how to use a sword).
I also have mixed feelings on the whole Makorra shipping. I'm not a big fan of Mako since he played both Asami(who I don't like) and Korra, and he's definitely not the kind of guy I'd want to go out with.
Bolin definitely needs more development.
Oh yeah, and Iroh rocks!!!
