| I looked this up online, and it's an excellent idea. You take a book (it can be anything from an exercise book to a diary) and you write down your Christian thoughts, prayers, favourite Bible verses etc. I have already put together one and I intend to write at least twice a week. I'm starting on Proverbs now so it's going to be great.
You should all do it too!

| I kind of have one...I forget to write in it though. One time I wrote down about five or so prayers(BIG prayers), and they were all answered. It's really cool to see how God answers your prayers! Especially since sometimes we forget about it if we don't write it down. | |

| I was doing this for a while. I agree with Amar, writing down prayers is a neat way to look back on what God has done for you. | |

| Subject: National Day of Prayer Thu May 02, 2013 10:43 am | |
| Today is the National Day of Prayer, with the theme "Pray for America". Here is what I am praying for today:
-Wisdom in our government leaders to deal with foreign affairs, the war in Afganistan, legal rights concerning gun legislation, women's rights, etc., and the economy -Insight to stop terrorism like the Boston bombing from happening -for people to turn to God to help them in troubled times
-Prayer for people who have lost loved ones recently -For people to reconcile with family members -For people who are sick -For students like me who are unsure about college/career/future/etc.
-For my friends who are not Christians to be receptive to God.
I am also praying for everyone on TLF. I know you are all destined to do really amazing things, so I'm praying for more wisdom, guidance, and protection for us all. Thanking God for letting us be in the Insider and hoping he wills us to do even greater and better. -Praying for all of us who have upcoming tests and that we learn not to worry and to trust that God, who has already proved himself with such great things, continues to hold our futures in his hands.
If you have anything else to add, please add your prayers.

| I've been praying a lot lately for the people of this nation to be filled with compassion and selflessness and for people to genuinely care more about others. | |

| Is it selfish to just have a prayer request for myself? I need prayer to be less self-centered and less petty and immature. I mean, that's something I'm praying for, besides praying for my friends too. | |

| That sounds like an awesome idea! I have a notebook and its just filled with all my Jesus things. Like sermon/youth group notes, I write out letters to God in it and some notes and stuff from my own personal bible studies. Plus I write down questions I have for my youth leader too. They're really cool! I would definitely encourage you guys to make one. they may be hard to keep up with but well worth it, like Amar said:) | |
